Description
This is the thrilling second chapter in the electrifying "Angel Trilogy". Angels will never be seen in the same way again. Gorgeous, charismatic Alex has the courage and skill of a trained Angel Killer. Unique, dazzling Willow has the beauty and power that comes with being half-angel. As the power of the malevolent Church of Angels grows, now it's up to Alex and Willow to train a new team of Angel Killers. Willow soon finds her half-angel identity met with hostility by some of the other AKs, while privately, she must wrestle with the knowledge that her father, Raziel, is a depraved, evil angel. However, while life in the AK training camp is tough, at least Alex and Willow are together. But when Alex discovers that the death of his brother and fellow Angel-Killer, Jake, was linked to a secret CIA mission to defeat the angels, he is forced to leave the camp to complete his brother's work... without Willow. Alex promised Willow he would never leave her, but with the fate of the human race at stake, destiny has ruled that Alex and Willow must be parted once more.
My Thoughts
I was wanting to read this for a while now, so when I knew I could read it I grabbed the kindle and started reading. I loved the first book a lot, so I am looking forward to reading this one. The description sounds really good, and it sounds like its going to be better than the first. The cover of the book is similar to the first one, just a little different. The title of the book seem very intriguing and I just want to know more.
This book lived up to my thoughts, it was really good, way better than the first one. It kept me reading on and on and wanting more and more, so when it did come to an end I just wanted to scream for more. The plot is continued straight from the first one which is really good, you also get told a bit what happened in the last book in case you have forgotten what has happened. I love how it jumps from one character to another and I just knew it was someone else, thought I preferred it from Willows POV.
Willow to me is the main character though others are very close by. She is such a brave young girl, and the things she has been though recently, and the fact she didn't even know what or who she was up until recently. She has handled the situations in the book quite well in my opinion. She tries to train to make her stronger and not an easy target. The things she goes through and how she deals with things is what she feels is right, throughout the whole book I just wanted to say, your doing the right thing, your right, they are wrong.
Alex is a strong, protective over Willow and brave, he could of left Willow, he could of been safe away from some danger if he weren't with Willow, but he loves her so he stick by her though everything. I love him a lot, but as the story continued, I started to really dislike him for some things he said and done. I know its hard on him, because he has a lot of pressure and things to do throughout the whole book, but he doesn't have to, he could ask for help, advice etc.
Seb who we find out is another half angel knows some how that there's another one out there, and that the other half angel is a girl, so in this book he's trying to find her, to help her, to tell her she's not the only one. Seb kinda loves her even though he doesn't even know her, this is because they are both the same, they have some sort of a bond. I do like Seb a lot, but I felt his presence may of made the situation worse but then in another sense it may of made it better.
The new angels who have come to town, are evil, cold and I really don't like them. When they speak or just the way they act makes me shiver. I have always thought as angels as good white things with halos and wings who help out god, but they aren't in this book.
All of the characters in this book play a major part whether its on the good side, or the bad. I loved how all characters are portrayed in this book.
In my opinion this book was amazing, I loved the plot, the storyline and whole reason behind this book. The ending was also very good.
I would recommend this book to anyone who read the first book in the trilogy and who likes a good YA book.
