Review of Tegan's Magic (The Ultimate Power Series, #3) by L.H. Cosway

Tegan's Magic (The Ultimate Power, #3)
Description
Something is rotten in Tribane city. The humans are descending into madness and Tegan is certain that Theodore has something to do with it.

The sorcerer and his followers have sent her father to hell and she's determined to bring him back. She's not going to lie down and play dead this time, now she has magic on her side.

And then there's the alliance she and her friends have made with Ethan and his group of exiled vampires – vampires who were exiled because of something she did. She's not having the best time living under their quiet condemnation, especially Ethan's new-found hostility.

With all that going on, Tegan doesn't feel like her love life should be taking centre stage, yet she's finding that her friendship with Finn is evolving into something she never expected. The question is, should she explore the possibility of Finn or wait for Ethan to finally forgive her?

Both Whitfield and Pamphrock are regrouping, but which side is going to make the first move?

There will be magic.

There will be fighting.

Blood will be spilled.

Someone will emerge as the new ruler of Tribane and the only thing that's certain is the city will never be the same again.

My Thoughts
I'm so excited  and I can't hide it :) I am so looking forward to reading this book. L.H. Cosway always does justice to her books, every book that I have read from her has been amazing and I know in my heart this will be just as good as all of her others.
Once again she has given me this copy to review it with an honest and truthful opinion and that is exactly what I will be doing.
The cover is amazing and it shows just how strong and how Tegan doesn't want to be told what to do by the pose that she is in. The colours used are basic but it makes the cover brilliant with it. The title is always Tegan and then anther word aka. Tegan's Blood etc.. I like how that is and I got excited to see this called Tegan's magic. The last thing is the blurb... the very long blurb "aha". I like that it says exactly what will e involved without telling any spoilers and I love the last few lines, "There will be magic, There will be fighting, Blood will be spilled". I am now too excited.

This book was EXACTLY how I wanted it to be, it was amazing and how she made me read as fast as I could so I could find out more about the characters and find out who is the one that will emerge as the new ruler etc. The storyline continues from the last book, I think I few days.. or something after the last book (not sure). There's many twists and turns and they wont ever leave you feeling bored. At first I forgot what happened in detail with the last book, but I soon remembered  The pace of the book is perfect  as its not too fast or too slow. The style of the writing is just like all of her other books "perfect".

The characters in this book is very well developed and you can see that they have a changed since the first book.
The main character Tegan has developed the most in my own opinion as in the first book she was a little weak and lonely and stuff so it was great to see her grow stronger and to be able to stand on her own two feet.
The other characters in this book have also grown stronger or the bad guys grown weaker ;)

My Overall opinion is that I loved this book so much, and I am so happy that L.H. Cosway has stayed in touch with me to read all of her books. I love her as a friend and Author.
I recommend this book to anyone who has read her other books and who loves YA.

Review of If You Find Me by Emily Murdoch

If You Find Me
Description

There are some things you can’t leave behind…

A broken-down camper hidden deep in a national forest is the only home fifteen year-old Carey can remember. The trees keep guard over her threadbare existence, with the one bright spot being Carey’s younger sister, Jenessa, who depends on Carey for her very survival. All they have is each other, as their mentally ill mother comes and goes with greater frequency. Until that one fateful day their mother disappears for good, and two strangers arrive. Suddenly, the girls are taken from the woods and thrust into a bright and perplexing new world of high school, clothes and boys.

Now, Carey must face the truth of why her mother abducted her ten years ago, while haunted by a past that won’t let her go… a dark past that hides many a secret, including the reason Jenessa hasn't spoken a word in over a year. Carey knows she must keep her sister close, and her secrets even closer, or risk watching her new life come crashing down.

My Thoughts
I found this on netgalley and I requested.. thinking I wont be allowed to read it, as I haven't reviewed a lot recently but I was allowed it and I was so happy about that. First thing that made me want to read the description on netgalley was the title and the cover, I mean if a cover is of a young girl with a dark area with trees with a title that says if you find me doesn't intrigue you then your not me, as that's what got me to read more information about it. After reading the description that just confirmed the fact that I want to read this, so I requested and prayed for it to be accepted and it was :D.

This was an amazing great read, and I am so chuffed that I got to read this. The story and plot was something real, and something so emotional, but because of that I knew the emotions running through the characters brains were so true and so real that I felt it.
The pace of the book is perfect as its not to fast but yet not to slow, also the storyline starts form the get go, as in you don't have to wait for 5 chapters before something interesting happens, it happens like straight away.
The way the book is written is amazing and perfect as its easy to understand and read the book knowing exactly what the author means.

The characters in this book were amazing, especially the main character Carey who has had a very difficult life along side her sister. The emotions that are shown through her is so.. amazing and I loved how she was flawed but so perfect in that way.

I recommend this book to anyone who loves a book that has emotion, changes and also something that little but different.

Hey,

I went to the library today looking for a certain book but I couldn't find it so I got something else out.

Loads of people have said good things about this book, and couple of friends also enjoyed this book, so I thought why not get it out and read it :)

The book is.....

Review of Heaven (Halo #3) by Alexandra Adornetto

Heaven (Halo, #3)
Description
Bethany, an angel sent to Earth, and her mortal boyfriend, Xavier, have been to Hell and back. But now their love will be put to its highest test yet, as they defy Heavenly law and marry. They don’t tell Beth’s archangel siblings, Gabriel and Ivy, but the angels know soon enough, and punishment comes in a terrifying form: the Sevens, who are rogue angels bent on keeping Beth and Xavier apart, destroying Gabriel and Ivy, and darkening angelic power in the heavens.
The only way Bethany and can elude the Sevens is to hide in the open, and blend in with other mortals their own age. Gabriel and Ivy set them up at college, where they can’t reveal their relationship, and where there is still danger around each corner. Will Bethany be called back to Heaven – forever – and face leaving the love of her life?

My Thoughts
I got this on my birthday as a gift from my sister. I was waiting to read this from the moment I finished reading Hades the second book. The title of the book makes so much sense  as the first one was called "Halo" then the second one is called "Hades" and now "Heaven" which is basically the main theme of the books I'm hoping it is.. with heaven as it was with the 2 before. The description also makes me feel that my idea is correct and i love that this is the conclusion and I hope.. I really hope its an ending I will love. The last thing is the cover,,, the amazing cover, I love how it looks like Bethany is being dragged back into heaven and Xavier is trying to pull her back down but that's not what makes it an amazing cover the the fact they form a Love Heart doing so.

This book was very good and I enjoyed every little bit about it. The story line was amazing and there was never a dull moment. The relationships between all of the characters was amazing and well thought out. I loved how new characters were introduced as well as the ones which were in book 1 and 2. I am glad that the book ended on this book, though I will always miss this story line.

The pace of the book is perfect for me as it wasn't too fast or too slow. The style of writing was easy to understand and there wasn't anything complicated in the way the author wrote and also she doesn't use big complicated words which I am happy about.

The two main characters Bethany and Xavier may of made a few rash decisions throughout the book but you can tell that they love each other with all of each others heats and they are willing to risk anything to be with each other. I loved the chemistry between them and I think in my opinion this is on the most cute couples ever.

I am so happy that Alexandra Adornetto wrote these 3 books, and I hope that she has a very happy life knowing she has made me happy with these books.

Halo Series (link to goodreads):

I recommend this book to anyone who read Halo and Hades and who loves YA and romance.

Review of Painted Faces by L.H. Cosway

Description
Come forth with an open mind, for an unconventional tale of love..

Dublin native Freda Wilson considers herself to be an acquired taste. She has a habit of making offensive jokes and speaking her mind too often. She doesn't have the best track record with first impressions, which is why she gets a surprise when her new neighbour Nicholas takes a shine to her.

Nicholas is darkly handsome, funny and magnetic, and Freda feels like her black and white existence is plunged into a rainbow of colour when she's around him. When he walks into a room he lights it up, with his quick wit and charisma. He is a travelling cabaret performer, but Freda doesn't know exactly what that entails until the curtains pull back on his opening night.

She is gob-smacked and entirely intrigued to see him take to the stage in drag. Later on, Nicholas asks her if she would like to become his show assistant. Excited by the idea, she jumps at the chance. Soon she finds herself immersed in a world of wigs, make-up and high heels, surrounded by pretty men and the temptation of falling for her incredibly beautiful employer.

In this story of passion and sexual discovery, Nicholas and Freda will contend with jealousy, emotional highs and lows, and the kind of love that only comes around once in a lifetime.

My Thoughts
The author contacted me and asked if I wanted to review something different to her past books, and of course I was going to yes!. The cover stands out and is so different to other books, and I know I say this a lot, but doesn't that just show how so many authors can be so individual. The title, at first I was confused on what it meant, but once reading the brilliant description you then realise why.. hehe.

This book was amazing. it was so different to any kind of romance story I have ever read in my entire life. The romance in this novel is so real and realistic, as they didn't just go up to each other and say "I love you".... it more like a developing relationship which is so good, as I doubt there is such thing as love in first sight, but.. you never know it could be true in some cases.

I loved the pace of the book, and how it wasn't boring and then interesting and then boring like some books I have read before. It was INTERESTING through out the whole book. The style of writing is perfect and easy to read and understand.

The two main characters are so amazing and I really liked how they formed a relationship, they both had some positives which I loved about them , and also negatives as everyone has those certain flaws.

I am so happy that L.H. Cosway still likes me enough to send me these books for free for an honest review. I have loved every single book you have written so far, and I am sure to love your future ones too.

I recommend this book to everyone who loves a twist in a romance novel, people who have read other books by this author and also just.. if you love books in general.

Cover Reveal: Tegan's Magic (The Ultimate Power #3) by L.H. Cosway

Hey,

L.H. Cosway emailed me asking if I wanted to show off her new cover for the new book; Tegan's Magic, and of course I said yes :)
I have been waiting for this book for so long, and though it may not be released until March, seeing the cover will just have to do for now :)

So here it is, the brilliant cover:

Tara: OMG.. she looks so.. dominant and powerful and stronger, and the fact its all black and white just makes it that much better :)

Synopsis:

Something is rotten in Tribane city. The humans are descending into madness and Tegan is certain that Theodore has something to do with it.

The sorcerer and his followers have sent her father to hell and she's determined to bring him back. She's not going to lie down and play dead this time, now she has magic on her side.

Both Whitfield and Pamphrock are regrouping, but which side is going to make the first move?

There will be magic.

There will be fighting.

Blood will be spilled.

Someone will emerge as the new ruler of Tribane and the only thing that's certain is the city will never be the same again.

In my opinion, this sounds.. amazing and I can't wait to read it :)

Review of Elemental: The First (Primord #1) by Alexandra May

Elemental: The First (Primord, #1)
Description
Just who is Halíka Dacomé?

To Rose Frost, moving house every six months is normal. Another new town here, another new school there, her ability to adapt is as easy as breathing. But everything changes when her parents go overseas and Rose moves in with her grandmother. She enjoys meeting new friends and catching up with old ones from her childhood holidays — except now she must hide a precious secret from everyone, a gift from birth that defies modern day science.

Her dreams become riddled with a warrior woman called Halíka Dacomé, but are they visions or messages from the future? She starts her own investigation but encounters more questions than answers. Living right on the edge of Warminster in Wiltshire doesn’t help with its folklore and myths about strange lights in the sky and ghost stories of the Salisbury Plain

Not only that, her troubles really take hold one night when the mysterious Aiden Deverill with his alluring smile, his gorgeous dark looks and hypnotising blue eyes, saves her from a freak fire. Or did he?

For Rose, her new life is beginning but she soon realises that despite assurances people are not always what they seem. What she always believed to be a happy family and a friendly town soon turns on its head when she discovers that her family secret, Aiden Deverill and the truth behind Halíka Dacomé is at the heart of the whole conspiracy.

My Thoughts
I am so glad that Netgalley was so kind enough to let me read this book for free for an honest review. The cover looks great and amazing, the description is long and detailed and really is the main reason why I wanted to read this book and the title just makes me want to read it instantly.

I am so happy with this book, it had everything I expected to be in this book giving from the title and description.
First I want to talk about the one thing which could of been improved on, but this didn't hinder my rating of this book. It was a little slow into getting into detail and exciting but once it did, I forgot about the fact it was slow and just moved on from that.

Secondly I want to talk about ALL of the things that stood out which I loved about the book.
The first thing that stood out was the writing style and the pace of the book. The writing style was easy to read and follow which made reading this book so exciting and great. The pace was amazing after the slow start.
The second thing that stood out was the characters. The main character Rose Frost is in no way "perfect" which is a good thing because in some books that I have read has those characters who are seen as "the perfect ones" and the "popular ones", but she isn't, she's seen as a pretty girl, who's kind and "Special" for reasons we don't know yet but will know later on. She has flaws just like me and you.
The third thing that stood out was the actually storyline.. I mean I haven't heard of a storyline just like this ever before, I mean yes I've heard of stories with magic and abilities etc, but not in this context. Not. At. All, so I am very impressed the author on creating a new storyline which hasn't been repeated too many times.
There is many other things that stood out but if I went on, I will definitely take forever.

My overall opinion of this book is that I loved it so much and I am so glad that I got to read it :)
I recommend this book to everyone who loves a new magic, power and a different book overall, and also if you love YA books :)
