Review of Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices #1) by Cassandra Clare

Clockwork Angel (The Infernal Devices, #1)Description
Magic is dangerous—but love is more dangerous still.

Cassandra Clare, the author of the Mortal Instruments Trilogy, returns with a new series launch that promises to be as captivating as its predecessor. Clockwork Angel tracks the transatlantic story of 16-year-old Tessa Gray who travels to Victorian London to find her missing brother. Along the way, she is discovers that she possesses the gifts of a true Shadowhunter, one of the brave warrior who battle the demons of the city's rampant Downworld. Her search for her brother (and herself) is complicated by her strange attraction to two young male friends. Subtly rendered dark magic at twilight time.

My Thoughts
This has been on my shelve for a while.. it looks like it would be hard to read and everything. When i couldn't think of what to read I picked this up and I started reading it. My sister bought this so I didn't pay anything. The cover shows that its going to be set in a more olden day ways and the guy is a character from the book I think.

I loved the Mortal Instruments.. so much because I thought Cassandra Clare is a great writer. She is so amazing at describing things and for you to imagine things being there in front of you. The start of this book was a little slow and a bit boring but after a while I got so glued to it I wanted to finish it. The POV is to any of the main characters of the good guys but mostly Tessa.

My thoughts on Tessa :
  • She is brave
  • She is strong
  • She is a little annoying at times.

My thoughts on Will:
  • He is so annoying
  • He isn't really likeable
  • He is self centred
  • He is blind to the truth
  • He is caring

My thoughts on Jem:
  • He is loveable
  • He is caring
  • He is kind
  • He is also my Favourite guy character in this book

My overall opinion is:
I like the idea and I like how they help Tessa out a lot. I think Cassandra Clare could of made the start more appealing and not as slow and boring. I loved it a lot.
