Review of Vampire Knight, Vol. 01 (Vampire Knight #1) by Matsuri Hino, Tomo Kimura

Vampire Knight, Vol. 01
Description
Yuki Cross has no memory of her past prior to the moment she was saved from a vampire attack ten years ago. She was adopted by the headmaster of Cross Academy, and now works alongside Zero to guard the Academy's secret. Cross Academy is attended by two groups of students: the Day Class and the Night Class. At twilight, when the students of the Day Class return to their dorm, they cross paths with the Night Class on their way to school. Yuki Cross and Zero Kiryu are the Guardians of the school, protecting the Day Class from the Academy's dark secret: the Night Class is full of vampires!

My Thoughts
This is the first time I have ever read a whole volume of a manga, but the reason why I started with this one, is because I have watched the Anime of Vampire Knight and Vampire Knight Guilty. So other than the fact the cover is really interesting the reason why I read this wasn't because of the title or name or anything but because I loved the Anime.

Read it, Liked it and Enjoyed it.
This is exactly how the Anime goes and yes that may seem cheating to most people, but though I knew what was happening and all of that, it was still different to read it, instead of watching it.

Most people find "Vampire" stories predictable and most likely the same kind of thing, but let me tell you, that this is nothing like any other vampire story, nothing like "Twilight" or "Vampire Diaries". It of course has the same thing that they need blood to survive but that's pretty much the only thing that's the same. I found it interesting to see a take on vampires in a new light (mind my pun).

The story had a flow to it so it kept me reading until I was finished, and because of reading the Anime I am not intrigued to see if it's going to be the same throughout or if there is going to be some changes. It's easy to read and understand once you know how to read a manga, which I am still sometimes struggling on, but I am slowly getting the hang of it.

Yuki Cross is the main female character and in my opinion I am so intrigued and interested in her and I love her in this manga so much. She strong, confident and doesn't get scared easily, but then you will know why when you read it yourself.
Zero Kiryu is one of the main male characters and in my opinion he is a good character but I felt he was a little stubborn at times.
Kaname Kuran is the other main male character and I am in love with him, and that's really all I can say without giving anything away.

My overall opinion of this, is I liked it a lot but because of watching the anime first I didn't enjoy it as much as I could have.
I would recommend this to people who love vampire stories and reading manga.

Sorry

Hello,

Sorry that I have not posted in a while.
I have been busy with College and haven't had time to blog or even read that much.

I have decided to take a break from youtube so from now until whenever all reviews will be done by written form or normal video form which isn't linked to youtube.
My reviews may not be as detailed as normal as I haven't did one in ages!

I hope to get back into this slowly but If I do disappear again, just know that there's a reason and that I will always return.

So once again, I am sorry!
