Review of Tempt (Ava Delaney #3) by Claire Farrell

Tempt (Ava Delaney #3)Description
There’s a monster running around Dublin, and it’s up to Ava to catch it. The pressure’s on, and she’s becoming as cynical as Peter. But when a demon marks her friend, and a possible threat from England spells war, Ava’s left with a huge choice to make. The lives of one or many.

With a little help, Ava has the chance to win all of her battles… if the darkness doesn’t take her over first.

My Thoughts
YES! Its the third in the series and HOW I so want to read this :). Once again I got this on Amazon for a low price (but for me free because I still have some money on my gift card). The cover is very interesting and right away the title and cover gives me an idea on what is going to happen in the book. The description also helps me know Claire Farrell wont let me down.

Let me just say Claire Farrell didn't let me down, this book was just as good as the two before, and maybe even slightly better in ways such as you know the characters more, you know what is what and what creatures to expect in the book and also because you have seen throughout the books that the main characters have grown and changed. This book is like continuing from where the last one started maybe a week or later, and that's good because it means there's less chance forgetting what happened. This book has the same writing style as the books before and the POV is still with Ava Delaney. This plot is basically what it says in the description, Ava has to capture a monster but then also risks losing a friend, so this whole book is seeing how she does it.. who helps.. and how she does.

Well as the two books before the characters are pretty much the same, and i hate doing books after the first in a series but then I feel bad if I just don't do it. Well I can say that continuing a statement up above about characters growing etc. is true so I can talk about that.
Ava has grown in strength.. agility and a lot of other stuff, she has learnt to trust people and understand that she may sometimes needs help. Through out ALL 3 books she has tried her very best to do the right thing and yes it may be wrong but she tries to make that wrong into a right. Ava is one the best Female characters I have read about so far this year (yes I know its only the 9th :P). She still tries to hide her feelings and emotions from she feels towards certain people but in the end it will come out.
Carl having been let free from the first book, and then still wanting to be involved in the second kind of lands him in trouble, he is unable to tell Ava or Peter so basically he is just acting strange to them when the real reason come alight in the book. I feel Carl was/is the opposite of Ava.. where Ava wants to be away from this.. Carl wanted to be a part of this. He is a nice character but yet a little annoying at times in this book.
Peter, well there's not much to say other than I actually love him this time, he did right by Ava and tried to help when he could. He would risk a lot for her but then there is his limits to that which I feel is good. He is a kind and enjoyable character and from the first book to now he has changed a lot to me, and I am glad.
Then next character is Eddie, well I think I have grown to like him a lot because in this book you see he cares and he is trying to help Ava but we don't really know why. We learn a lot more about him and what he is and the background on how he became so powerful in which helps up see why he acts so strangely and secretly.
There is many more characters but to be honest I don't really know what to say and I have forgotten some of the characters names (if only I had a good memory). All I can say is there is a lot of good characters and I liked them all in different ways.

My overall opinion is that I loved this book and I thought this was the best out of all 3 so far.
I recommend this book if you have read Thirst and Taunt.

There is going to be a fourth book out called Taken this year.

Review of Taunt (Ava Delaney #2) by Claire Farrell

Taunt (Ava Delaney, #2)Description
All Ava wants to do is forget about the vampires, but they won't leave her alone. Between her failing business, angry landlord, disloyal friends, and vampire stalkers, life is starting to feel pretty stressful. When Ava finally deals with her biggest problem, she is caught up in the chain of events it triggers and taken along a path she can't escape from.

Ava has to figure out what exactly is her biggest threat: the humans, the vampires, the Council-or her true heritage.

My Thoughts
After reading the first book on my laptop I had to buy the second one on my kindle. I so enjoyed the first book and I hope this one is just as good. The cover is very intriguing and i just want to read and read.

I get about roughly.. 22 or something % and I'm glued to it.. I just love it. I loved the twists and turns and the changes in the characters and I loved how one thing led to another and new faces got brought into the book. The writing style is simple and easy and I think its an easy read. The POV is once again Ava Delaney, which I am glad. The chapters are short so you could easily read a chapter a day until you finish it if you didn't have time. This plot is different from the last book but has the same characters and new ones, though its a different plot its linked to Book 1 Thirst, so you can't just skip a book.

The characters is the same as the last book so I won't be going into to much detail because I don't want to be repeating myself.
As before Ava is the main character and I love her to bits, I love how all she wants to do is have a normal life when I some books I have read people with normal life's want to have a dangerous and not a normal life. She is very brave and does good by most people, I like how you can tell she cares about Peter and Carl more than she lets on.
Carl after the first book is now free to do what he wants and have a normal life but yet he doesn't want that at all, he wants to help out Ava and have a dangerous life. I like Carl a lot because he shows that he's an adult and he can chose what he wants to do, though I feel he is a little too stupid at time in this book.
Peter is once again in this book and I feel he is an amazing character though very moody at times and I just don't get him half of the time. He is caring and loving at times when he needs to be and he just acts in his own way and doesn't let anyone control him.
Eddie is in this book a lot in which makes my review of Thirst come true in the fact I wanted him in less but got the opposite. I actually liked him better in this book and you learn a little more of what he is in this book.
The council is in this book and lot and I feel them being in it and being part of the plot is amazing, I was a little confused on what they were but soon was filled in with it.
You meet a lot more Characters some bad and some evil, as is nearly every book.

My overall opinion of this book I loved it as much as I loved the first book and it kept me reading until the end.
I recommend this book to people who have read the first book Thirst and who loved reading YA.

Review of Thirst (Ava Delaney #1) by Claire Farrell

Thirst (Ava Delaney, #1)
Description
Ava Delaney calls herself a hybrid - a living, breathing human who happens to have vampire poison running through her veins. The only thing greater than her thirst for human blood is her capacity for guilt. She does her best to avoid the human world, for everyone's sake.

When Ava accidentally enslaves a human while saving him from a vampire, she realises she has to look for help setting him free. Despite her misgivings, she expands her world but finds herself dragged into a possible vampire civil war. With the help of some new friends with ambiguous loyalties, she tries to find a way to keep her human, and herself, alive.

My Thoughts
I was browsing through Amazon UK for free e books for when I get my kindle in Christmas and I started downloading them and I cam across this one and I though ooh it looks good. I had it in my mind that I would read 1 chapter to make sure its good and then read the rest if good when I get my kindle, but.. I couldn't help myself but read on.

It only took me like 3 days to read this, plus I was reading this on the computer when I was bored or I just needed to read and couldn't be bothered to pick up the book I should be reading. This book is very good and it kept me reading on and on. I kept wondering what is going to happen and the storyline is just amazing. The style of writing is simple and easy to read in my opinion. This story is short, so the chapters is also short so you could just read a chapter a day or something is you don't have a lot of time to read. The POV is the main girl character Ava Delaney though there is other characters in this book with a main part.

There is many characters in this book but I only want to talk about the ones who I thought were the main ones as I normally do with my other reviews.
Ava Delaney who has vampire poison running through her veins, has a thirst for blood so she tries to stay away from the world and spend as little time with humans as possible. To me she is a cool, classy girl and I loved the way she acted. I feel sorry for her and I just wished she could have a normal life.
Carl is just an ordinary human and he got dragged into this just by a mistake in which Ava made, I cant really say much about him seen has is personalty isn't really shown till the end.
Peter kills creatures which are not human and he helps Ava and Carl with there little problem though he was reluctant to. His personality is very confusing. One minute I feel he's a good guy and I like him and the next I feel he's being annoying.
Eddie is such a mysterious guy and he's not even that. He helps them out but also wants things in return, and he gets angry quite easily. To be honest I do not like him at all and I hope the second in the serious he's in less.. but then he will probably definitely be in a lot.
There is other characters plus the main vampires but then all vampires either want the main girl dead or need her for something.

My overall opinion on this book is i feel there was many good characters and there is a great storyline involved of the book. Its an easy short read and you can get this book for free if you download it from Amazon for you kindle.
