My poem: I have disappeared

Well i just wrote this poem and i thought i would share it :D
Sometimes i feel like this, sometimes i don't

I have disappeared

I feel that sometimes I am ignored
I feel that sometimes I'm invisible
I shout out loud but no-one hears
Oh look... I have disappeared

When I walk down the street and no-one looks
When I sing a song but no-one says oh that sound wrong
When people talk in a group of friends and I'm standing alone
Oh look... I have disappeared

People go by day to day talking, walking and even laughing
People say nice things maybe bad things to
People stop when someone calls their names, but not me
Oh look... I have disappeared

When I am crying no one cares
When I am angry no-one calms me down
When I die will anyone care will anyone cry, not even a single tear
Oh look... I have disappeared

Review of The Lightning Thief (Percy Jackson and the Olympians #1) by Rick Riordan

^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
So I didn't know what to read so my sister said why not read Percy Jackson because I have the rest of the series, but I didn't want to because I have seen the film, and I knew I'm going to compare all the way through, but I gave in and read it and how I am glad I did.

Rick Riordan is a great writer and as soon as I started reading it I never wanted to stop (though I did sometimes). The style of writing he uses, is simple and yet very creative I never got confused at any time which some authors do to me sometimes. The POV was focused on one character at all times, Percy Jackson hence that each book has Percy Jackson and....so on. He thought of so many ideas and kept me intrigued to think of what other animals/creatures could he muster up. Also the places he wrote about and the history he uses to play it all out is quite amazing and he must of did a lot of research.

My thoughts on the characters are.. Percy has spent his whole life jumping from one school to another because of his temper and has to put up with his smelly step father, but things start to happen which he can't control so then he has to take control and fight to the end, he may not want this life but he has to have it. Grover is Percy's mate though he ain't even human not like he knows or anything. More Character are introduced bad ones good ones and ones you think are good but turns out to be bad.

My overall opinion is, I like the book way better than the film and if you have seen the film and is put of with reading the book don't be just READ it :D

^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
This is a second in series kind of thing, so I was already going to get it, but i never knew it was out until my sister pointed it out, and i looked at her with those pleading eyes, but she didn't budge, and i already bought a book, that day, and well i was in waterstones, and i have a waterstones card, therefore, i got money took off, oh yea, so i got the book, for like less then £3.00 :D.

The author of this book is a great writer and has put a lot of detail in the story. From start to finish i loved it and it only took me less than 24 hours to read it maybe actually less than 9. The style of writing she uses is easy and it makes perfect sense. The POV was focused on one character throughout the book, which made it more interesting than switching characters.

My Thoughts on the characters is Claire is a great girl and tries her hardest to do what is right whether it is forbidden or not. Her boyfriend to me is amazing and how he deals with it could of been a little better. Her best friend is cool, and i wish she could know the truth. Her mum well i feel she is a little to bossy and she should care for her daughter more.

My overall opinion on this book is; I loved it, and i wanted more when it ended :D

Review of A Sweeter Rhythm by T.L. Peters

A Sweeter RhythmJust want to thank T.L.Peters for letting me read this for free and reviewing it :)
DescriptionThis short story follows the life of a violin as it recounts its many ups and downs over the centuries, changing hands between those who love it and those who don't. This story was previously published by RED OCHRE LiT as A Sweeter Kind of Rhythm.
^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
Doing this review differently,

Hey, this book isn't the normal type of book I read, and its really short and easy to read :)

When an author asks for me to read a book, I give it a go, and I did, and I read it :)

This book is really good, and the author has put a lot of effort and imagination to it, its all about a Violin, and its shown, with feelings and everything :)

I nearly even cried in it, because it felt so real.

If this was longer, I may of rated it allot higher, but to people who read short stories then this is one for you :)

Review of Sabriel (Abhorsen #1) by Garth Nix

Sabriel (The Abhorsen Trilogy, #1)Description
Who will guard the living when the dead arise? Sabriel is sent as a child across the Wall to the safety of a school in Ancelstierre. Away from magic; away from the Dead. After receiving a cryptic message from her father, 18-year-old Sabriel leaves her ordinary school and returns across the Wall into the Old Kingdom. Fraught with peril and deadly trickery, her journey takes her to a world filled with parasitical spirits, Mordicants, and Shadow Hands -- for her father is none other than The Abhorson. His task is to lay the disturbed dead back to rest. This obliges him -- and now Sabriel, who has taken on her father's title and duties -- to slip over the border into the icy river of Death, sometimes battling the evil forces that lurk there, waiting for an opportunity to escape into the realm of the living. Desperate to find her father, and grimly determined to help save the Old Kingdom from destruction by the horrible forces of the evil undead, Sabriel endures almost impossible challenges whilst discovering her own supernatural abilities -- and her destiny

^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
This book was the first in a trilogy, but is the first in a series now :)

When I was younger the cover drew me in. I picked it up and opened it, but when I read the first page of the book I put it straight back down. Bear in mind that I was young and I didn't really read books then. This is also my sister's, I think most books I read are from my sister, so anyway I looked at it and was like wait, I'm sure I read this before but then she told me I read the first page so I went this time I will read it all.

The author of this book, must have thought a lot about it, and put a lot of detail into everything, because I found everything perfect. Although the beginning was slow and I didn't really jump into it after a while, maybe after I read a 1/4 of this book, I finally got engrossed into it. I was left wanting to read more and more of it. The writing style was a bit confusing at times for me, but I got used it. The POV was focused on one person throughout the book.

My thoughts on the characters ares that I thought they were portrayed in a great and amazing way. They had flaws like everyone else, and Sabrial didn't like the fact she had all of this weight on her shoulders but she took it on herself and did what her role was. Mogget the cat was an interesting character and was funny at times, but dark and twisted at others.

My overall opinion on this book is that it was an amazing adventure story that had magic and creatures beyond your imagination.

Follow Friday number 3 (I did it on time)

Hosted by  Parajunkee and Alison Can Read

Oh god, this is hard :)

Q. Talk about the book that most changed or influenced your life (was it a book that turned you from an average to avid reader, did it help you deal with a particularly difficult situation, does it bring you comfort every time you read it?).

The book that made me a bookaholic was Uglies by Scott Westerfeld. This book was the first book that I read and at the end say I want to read more.

After I'd finished it I read the rest of the series and then started on a brand new series. :)

After that I read and read and then I realised I should do more and that's why I started my own blog to review. I even did a short review of Uglies just so people know I read it and loved it :)

Uglies (Uglies, #1)

I hope everyone else can answer this :)

^^GoodReads^^

My new way of reviewing :) Thanks Char :)

This book is the second, and by looking at the cover of the book, I can tell that there's gonna be some romance and that got me to read it as soon as I found it in my room:) I borrowed this of my sister, she thought she didn't have it, or lost it, but I found in somewhere, and dust was covering it, and I was so happy I found it .

The author of this book sets a good pace to it, though I thought she was a bit too fast to start with, but I didn't mind. The writing style is the same as the first one, and I like it a lot, its either told by Caleb or Maggie and it takes turn each chapter so you do not get confused. I enjoyed this book allot, and every chapter I finished I wanted to read the next one.

My thought on the characters is I liked them allot and I felt for them, though the feeling they had were a bit jumbled up and confusing at times. Maggie was finally over him, and then she realised she weren't , same goes for Caleb.

My overall opinion on the book is, that it was excellent and that's why I give it : 5 STARS

^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
After reading the first one, i obvs had to read this one, and this one is way better, and it has more action, or other stuff like that.
Elena is slowly healing, after what happened in the last book, and Raphael is doing everything to protect her from anyone who seeks to harm her.
There is also new characters as well as soon we all ready know of, and there is evil amongst the good guys, but we do not know whom.
So read this book if you have ;
1) Read the first one: Angels' Blood
2) Enjoyed the first one
3) COZ i loved it sooo much, so i hope you love it too :)

*This is an adult book, and contains Sex as the book before did*
