Review of The Gathering (Darkness Rising #1) by Kelley Armstrong

The Gathering (Darkness Rising, #1)Description
Maya lives in a small medical-research town on Vancouver Island. How small? You can’t find it on the map. It has less than two-hundred people, and her school has only sixty-eight students—for every grade from kindergarten to twelve.

Now, strange things are happening in this claustrophobic town, and Maya's determined to get to the bottom of them. First, the captain of the swim team drowns mysteriously in the middle of a calm lake. A year later, mountain lions start appearing around Maya's home, and they won’t go away. Her best friend, Daniel, starts getting negative vibes from certain people and things. It doesn't help that the new bad boy in town, Rafe, has a dangerous secret—and he's interested in one special part of Maya's anatomy: Her paw-print birthmark.
^^GoodReads^^

My Thoughts
I loved this books so much  because as soon as the first chapter started i knew that this is the sort of book i read, and because someone and a close friend to Maya dies, it just makes it that more interesting.
She develops good friendships, and even a relationship, but even that is complicated.
She learns her true nature and exactrly what she is, and it she learns she has somthing simerlar to Rafe.
If you likeed the darkest powers trilogy, then you will like this one!

I am so looking forward to reading the next one called The Calling, which is due to be published in April 2012 :)

Review of Blackwatch (Wintercraft #2) by Jenna Burtenshaw

Blackwatch (Wintercraft, #2)Description:

^^goodreads^^

Characters:
Silas is on the run and then goes to try to find Dalliah Grey, and then Blackwatch is following him and trying to get him, finally they do, but it doesn't stay that way.
Kate is a prisoner underground for what she did in the last book, but she then soon escapes.

My Thoughts:
I loved this book so much, and the way Jenna Burtenshaw writes this, is amazing.
The storyline was once again, brilliant.
I loved how in both Silas and Kate aren't really together in it, but at the end joins together, and once again, at the end, is then separated again.
This time, Edgar was in it much more, and he was as brave as Silas, and even Silas cared for him.
Kate's power is such an importance in this book, i hope that we see more of it.
If you loved Wintercraft then you will love Blackwatch!
