Review of Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors #1) by Susan Beth Pfeffer

Description:

Life As We Knew It (Last Survivors, #1)
Miranda’s disbelief turns to fear in a split second when a meteor knocks the moon closer to the earth. How should her family prepare for the future when worldwide tsunamis wipe out the coasts, earthquakes rock the continents, and volcanic ash blocks out the sun? As summer turns to Arctic winter, Miranda, her two brothers, and their mother retreat to the unexpected safe haven of their sunroom, where they subsist on stockpiled food and limited water in the warmth of a wood-burning stove.
^^Goodreads^^

Characters:
There is a few characters but the main character i fell in love with, which is weird to say, because she is a girl, but the way she handled things, and even though she was not the strongest, she was not the weakest.
She understands her responsibilities, and when she should stop doing something.
She has already suffered a great loss, before hand, and when this happens, she has to suffer more, but because of the situation, she does not really have time to mourn over the people who dies, she has to stay together, for her mother and her two brothers, and if that is not bad enough, she is worried about her dad, and his wife, and their child.
I don't know how she manages to cope, but she does, so i feel her Character is the best i have seen , in a book like this.

My thoughts:
Basically i have allot of thoughts but i am struggling with the words to put down here, this book, was amazing, and i just wanted to finish it!
I loved how it was a diary and it covered a whole day, and ended with her birthday, showing that they survived that long, why not survive for longer,
This is one of the best Disaster books i have read ever!!
Please read this, if you love Disaster movies/books!

>Goodreads

Characters:
Willow- she goes to school, she only has one mate, and she can see the future of people.
Alex- An angel hunter basically, he has a past , which is why he hunts Angels
The Angels- You normally think angels as the good ones, but not in this book, not here, in this book, they feed off humans.

My thoughts:
I thought this book was amazing, and i loved how they portrayed angels in this, i also liked the plot, on how she is so special, and he should not fall for her, but does.
I love the way L.A. Weatherly has thought of all ideas and the way she has put everything together, this is a must read!!

Review of The Iron Witch (The Iron Witch #1) by Karen Mahoney

                                 Description:
The Iron Witch (The Iron Witch, #1)Freak. That's what her classmates call seventeen-year-old Donna Underwood. When she was seven, a horrific fey attack killed her father and drove her mother mad. Donna's own nearly fatal injuries from the assault were fixed by magic—the iron tattoos branding her hands and arms. The child of alchemists, Donna feels cursed by the magical heritage that destroyed her parents and any chance she had for a normal life. The only thing that keeps her sane and grounded is her relationship with her best friend, Navin Sharma.
When the darkest outcasts of Faerie—the vicious wood elves—abduct Navin, Donna finally has to accept her role in the centuries old war between the humans and the fey. Assisted by Xan, a gorgeous half-fey dropout with secrets of his own, Donna races to save her friend—even if it means betraying everything her parents and the alchemist community fought to the death to protect.
>goodreads

Characters:
The main character Donna has been called a freak, and horrible names at school, so she now gets home schooled, she has incredible strength.
Navin who is the only one who wants to be friends, and be close to Donna, still, doesn't know her secrets, but that doe snot last long.
Xan is a half-fey and he is hot, and anyway, he has secrets of his own, so him and Donna make good friends, or maybe more, because they have things in common.

My thoughts:
This book was brilliant, and i loved the plot, how at the beginning, she is clueless what is happening , but then she gets dragged in, and she solves it.
I hope more people will like this book, because it is a must read book!!!

Review of Maximum Ride: Angel by James Patterson

Well another amazing book by the brilliant writer James Patterson.
Maximum Ride: Angel

Description:
In the seventh book in the bestselling series, evil scientists are still trying to convince Max that she needs to save the world, this time by providing the genetic link in speeding up the pace of evolution. Worse, they're trying to convince her that her perfect mate is Dylan, the newest addition to the flock. The problem is that, despite herself, Max is starting to believe it.

Fang travels the country collecting his own gang of evolved humans, but the two separate flocks must unite to defeat a frightening doomsday cult whose motto is Save the Planet: Kill the Humans. And this time, the true heroine, for once, might just be little Angel.

>Taking from goodreads

Characters:
Max: she is left lonely and sad because of fang leaving her, but she still fights well and tries to make decision for the gang.
Dylan: he is still with them and he tries to comfort Max, and tries to be the one she is meant to be with.
Angel: she's young but she's not stupid, she is probably the only one who thinks straight and thinks of good ideas, and also stays calm, hence why the book is called angel.
And another main character has to be Fang: He is gutted he had to leave Max, but its because he thinks she's not the only one who can save the world , so he gets a group together.

My thoughts:
This book was absolutely brilliant and kept me reading , when i could, the plot drew me in , and it was good how you saw the two sides merge as one.
The fact they cannot trust no-one is a key element in the stories, because thats how they have become so mature and so close as a group.
This was the best maximum ride novel since the first one i think! , Please read this book if you have read the other one.
